Position Purpose
Operates vehicles to safely and comfortably transport residents to and from the facility and other locations.
Essential Job Functions – Principal Accountabilities
Operates Company vehicles to transport residents to and from the facility and other locations, with responsibility for resident safety and comfort.
Obeys all ordinances, safety rules, and common courtesy while operating vehicles.
Ensures residents are properly situated and seat belted in the vehicle.
Ensures vehicles are cleaned and maintained.
Maintains records and reports on vehicle operation and maintenance, and resident transportation.
Other Job Functions
With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Operate motor vehicle to transport residents.
Subject to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.

Stand, traverse, ascend/descend stairs, move/transport carts weighing over 100 pounds, transport tools/equipment, grasp and manipulate tools/equipment to set up.
Occasionally move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Move resident as necessary, stretch, bend, stoop, squat, twist, crouch, kneel, and balance to access all resident body parts, observe skin color, detect vital signs and equipment alarms/messages.
Operate computer, read, remain in a stationary position, converse with others.
Legibly complete forms; perform data entry of information.
Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
Converse with others, write legibly, read and comprehend written/verbal information.
Communicate instructions or demonstrate tasks.
Lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently; up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
Experience: Experience performing the essential functions of the position is desirable.
Certification/License: Must maintain a valid, unencumbered, State-issued Driver’s License for the facility location.
Must successfully complete Transport Driver training before operating a Company vehicle to transport residents.
Candidates are required to attain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days after hire.
State background check standards must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
