*Driver – Class A CDL Job Description*
Cordwin's - Class A CDL Driver - must hold a *valid Class A CDL* certificate of proof they are "_*legally certified to operate manual transmission vehicles*__" _in order to operate all Cordwin tree service trucks, grapple trucks, and equipment with manual transmissions.
This position involves driving company vehicles to and from job sites and wood lots.
All Cordwin drivers need to always recognize when other team members need assistance on job sites.
When not actively driving, they need to be proactive in stepping up and offering assistance in getting the job done without having to be asked.
Cordwin Tree Service offers equipment training, as necessary, and competitive wages commensurate with experience and potential for advancement.
To apply for this position we require: * experience in Boom and/or Grapple Truck operations.
* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
* 3 references (2 business and 1 personal.
) * an active, valid CDL Class A ddriver'slicense indicating "legal certification to operate manual transmission vehicles.
" * being physically fit to efficiently perform the job.
*Pre-Screen Requirement for Hire:* * Anyone being considered for employment with Cordwin is subject to and must pass a pre-employment MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) background check; * and possess an active, valid CDL Class A driver's license indicating "*legal certification to operate manual transmission vehicles.
"* * pass a pre-employment driving test at the Cordwin facility in a Grapple/Boom or Dump truck.
"*Work Hours/Benefits:* This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with paid overtime, paid holidays, and accrued, paid vacation.
There is no relocation assistance for candidates at this time.
*Driver – Class A CDL Requirements:* * Possess and maintain a clean valid Class A CDL indicating manual transmission operation * Demonstrate the ability and willingness to operate Cordwin’s specialized trucks and equipment successfully.
* Perform regular inspections on equipment to maintain and ensure proper functioning.
* Report promptly any issues or repairs that need to be addressed.
* Enjoy working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions * Ability to lift 75 lbs.
* Conduct proper job site setup and pre and post-job site walk-throughs to assess risks and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Exhibit a willingness to work with management and crews to become familiar with standard practices within Cordwin Tree Service, Inc.
and the industry.
* Adherence to Cordwin policy, industry, and environmental standards.
* Maintain a positive professional attitude at all times.
* Possess leadership qualities that are results-driven.
* Display high self-motivation and dependability.
* Work autonomously as a self-starter, as well as a goal-oriented team player.
* Administer strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ensure company objectives.
