A Fantastic DJ Rig for those wanting to ditch the laptop as I did about 6 years ago or for those of you that sold it all and now you want it back! Loaded Coffin, Coffin Stand, 160+ 12” Vinyls, My new old stock Florida Breaks package which comes with 23 titles by itself (See my other listings to read all the details on that one!) and a CD binder I am still putting together loaded with classic Techno, Trance, Electro, House, Breakbeat Classics!!
The Equipment:
2- Vestax PDT- 5000 (Classic Made In Japan Turntables).
This is a great set of decks with nice strong direct drive motors.
I have never been one to be brain bashed by Technics 1200’s; I know they are the standard but there are plenty of just as good if not better options out there.
I owned a set of 1200’s about 15 years ago and these units feel about the same when it comes to features.
The unique thing about these are the analog pitch meters! One is set up with a Stanton 500 Cart (not made any more) and I have 2 extra styluses for backups.
The other has a classic Ortofon Concorde.
American Audio Q-2422 Mixer:
I’m more impressed by this mixer than I thought I would be.
3 Channels and 2 Mic inputs It has some things that are sorely lacking on other mixers such as a separate EQ just for the booth output.
The 1/8” input jack on the front also makes it nice to quickly connect a phone or other Aux audio.
Pioneer CMX 3000
Offers everything the earlier CDJ’s do including vinyl simulation.
It only plays CD Discs (Not MP3) So I have put a binder together with CD only tracks (See Below)
The Coffin:
An older Numark unit with metal plating on the bottom so it’s robust.
It also has the heavy duty corner protectors and spring loaded handles.
This is not one of the flimsy ones! Also Included is the coffin stand you see with a shelf for the Pioneer CMX drive unit and plenty of storage for Vinyl etc.
What’s so great about a bunch of burnt CDR’s?
I own an online record store; apart from that I have been involved with DJ’ing for over 30 years.
A LOT of music has passed through here.
I have spent the better part of 20yrs collecting and archiving vinyl.
The CDR’s (I am still putting together AND HAVE SPENT HOURS ON) in this binder are special edits, loops remixes etc.
and things you will not find on Beatport, Traxsource or streaming.
Not only that but the tracks have been re-mastered, processed and Tempo labeled so you know exactly what the tempo is of everything you play.
(This is something I came to love about digital DJing and allowed me to focus more on the mix than fiddling around with a pitch bend all the time.
) I’m keeping this collection of music old school because I think that is what somebody who’s interested in this wants.
That means lots of old school 90’s early 2000’s Rave, Techno, Trance, Breakbeat, Miami Bass ETC.
RARE RARE RARE!
If you are interested please call me at the number in the photos I have little patience for FB messages.
