Essex Mortgage is hiring for our Insurance Escrow Coordinator position to assist our Servicing Department! We are looking to bring on a friendly, self-motivated, team player who seeks the opportunity to grow and learn.
Job Summary: Essex Mortgage currently outsources insurance tracking functions to an outside vendor, Essex maintains an in-house Insurance Escrow Coordinator to perform insurance and escrow related functions not handled by the insurance vendor.
The Insurance Escrow Coordinator also performs functions to assist with the insurance vendor processes and oversight.
Essential Duties: Insurance: Researches and responds to daily insurance inquires and requests from both insurance vendor and external departments Reviews open/expired/current control reports Monitors the placement of lender placed hazard and flood insurance ensuring timely premium payments Works with insurance vendor for cancelling lender placed insurance Works insurance and flood related tasks Assists in retrieval of requested insurance, flood and/or loss draft related documents Sets up daily ACH insurance payment to insurance vendor for the daily insurance disbursements Sets up daily ACH loss draft payment to insurance vendor for the daily loss draft disbursements Processes daily loss draft deposits in FICS for loss draft checks processed by insurance vendor Flood: Process flood zone disputes from borrowers Ensures all loans have active flood determinations transferred over to Essex portfolio and are accurately set up in system of record, FICS Escrow Analysis: Sets up escrow accounts to collect lender placed insurance premiums paid Performs escrow analysis for lender placed cancellations Reviews and process escrow setup and cancellation requests based on company and investor requirements Performs other duties and special projects as assigned Education and Experience Three+ years in Loan Servicing with direct experience with escrow and insurance servicing Ability to multitask and effectively manage time Ability to communicate effectively – both in written and verbal form Desire to take personal responsibility to complete tasks and solve problems Excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic.
Ability to remain professional even under strenuous situations.
Be able to take ownership of an issue.
Three+ years mortgage servicing experience with experience in real estate taxes and mortgage insurance Effective time management skills Ability to communicate effectively – both in written and verbal form Desire to take personal responsibility to complete tasks and solve problems Excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic Ability to remain professional even under strenuous situations Be able to take ownership of an issue What You’ll Need to be Successful: Communication – your strong communication skills allow you to effectively assist other staff and follow up with customer inquires Accuracy and Thoroughness – you don’t miss the little things! Computer and Equipment Skills: Intermediate in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Word processing (speed and accuracy) MSP or FICS' Mortgage Servicer a plus Email Internet software Use typical office equipment (computers, fax, phones, copiers, scanners, projectors, etc.
) REASONING and MENTAL ABILITIES Uses critical thinking skills to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and analytical reasoning to identify patterns in servicing PHYSICAL ABILITIES Vision (with or without correction) sufficient to read a computer screen at 20 inches and to operate office equipment or a car Clear speaking on the telephone and in person; hearing within normal ranges in noise environments typical of office Able to sit for long periods of time at computer or other work station and in meetings Able to finger and feel in order to use equipment, computers and operate equipment Able to lift 10 pounds occasionally unassisted Essex Mortgage is an Equal Opportunity employer.
