Packaging Electrician

Display being detail oriented eye/hand coordination.
Able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
Able to work well individually or in a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Overview
Packaging Electricians are responsible for installing electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment using blueprints.
Complete and make wiring repairs and must follow the National Electric Code and comply with Sate and local building codes.
Equipment/Machinery Used
Forklift, Tape Measure, Hand Tools
Essential Job Functions:
Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
Knowledge of various conduit installations, EMT, rigid, flex etc.
Know correct code requirements for wire sizing
Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
Education and Experience
One to Two years related experience and/or training in electrical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Wire color coding and circuitry, wire pulling and prep.
wire sizing and various codes to abide by.

Inside/outside lights with photocell, 3-way switch, GFCI installation.

Space heater installation.
1.

e-stop installation and wiring.

Electrical testing and troubleshooting.
3rd week - 90 days of work

Battery charger installation and wiring.
1.
13.
Jacket water heater/alternator heater identification and wiring.

14.
Motorized louver installation and wiring with/without exhaust fan.
Identifying proper wiring and configuration.

15.
Transformer and disconnect installation and wiring.
1.
16.
Verifying genset accessories breaker size and quantity.

17.
Final connections/ finishing a package.
QC paperwork.
Days 61-90: continue operations

By this time, the trainer should be more of a spotter.

Within this period hopefully the trainee will have the opportunity to load and unload trucks.
6 months – a year

Wireway assembly and installation.

Pump set installation and wiring with solenoids.
Please note: All employees must also be able to work in a warehouse setting that includes exposure to noise, all weather conditions, small levels of airborne particles and occasionally lift more than 50-75lbs.
