*Summary:*
The Mi-Jack Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of a mobile crane to lift, move, and reposition loads.
*Essential Functions:*
Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensures loads are safely attached to the crane before moving.
Manipulates crane controls to regulate speed and direction of the crane.
Inspects equipment to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Assures that lifts are within load limits of equipment and that materials are correctly rigged.
Performs other tasks such as operating other heavy equipment as needed.
Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
*Must have experience in operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
Candidates without this experience need not apply.
*
*Work Environment:*
This is an outdoor facility-not climate controlled.
Must be comfortable with working outdoors under varied weather conditions to include heat and humidity.
Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving heavy equipment/machinery, and loud noise.
This position is a contract to hire after 90 days of good performance, it could be extended.
