A service electrician specializes in installing and repairing electrical systems and equipment in commercial and residential areas.
They typically meet with clients to identify and understand their needs, perform installations and inspections, troubleshoot problems, replace or fix wirings, and perform regular maintenance checks to ensure efficiency and client safety.
Moreover, they must build positive relationships with clients for a strong client base.
Here are a few examples of responsibilities that you are likely to perform in this role.
* Run M/C cable and Romex in residential and commercial buildings.
* Follow NEC and Florida building code.
* Install EMT and PVC conduit.
* Set fixtures, receptacles, install and wire electrical panels.
* Participate in on-call rotation for after hour emergency service.
* Service emergency calls for residential, commercial and industrial equipment.
* Remodel work including service changes, and additions.
