FantastiKids Academy is looking for an experienced, fun, and flexible maintenance worker to join our team!
*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* Regular building inspections
* Ensure all facilities are in safe and working order
* Perform small repairs as needed
* Coordinate with management on larger projects/repairs
* Monthly RoundUp of the grounds
* Ensure pleasant curb appeal of grounds, clean-up and maintenance as needed
* Pressure wash as needed
* Monthly air filter checks, changes as needed
* Clean gutters as needed
* Actively communicate with Maintenance Manager
* Monthly fire-safety inspection
Overall, the maintenance team is responsible for ensuring the school facilities remains clean and in working order.
If needed, this could include duties such as sweeping, mopping or vacuuming the floors of halls and classrooms, shampooing rugs, yard maintenance along with completing basic repairs.
*Required Skills/Abilities:*
* Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
* Knowledge of preventive maintenance, repair, and installation in connection with: electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
* Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools.
* Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a school setting.
* Related experience required.
* Must be able to pass a background check.
*Physical Requirements:*
* Requires prolonged sitting or standing or walking.
* Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
* Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching.
* Requires climbing and balancing.
* Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
* Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
* Must be able to work in high places.
* Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds at a time.
*Time Requirements:*
This is a part-time position with employee flexibility.
Perfect position for retired persons or those seeking secondary job.
Weekend and/or evening availability required as maintanence projects are not permitted while children are on premesis.
