2nd shift Assistant Supervisor

Position Summary Extensions of the Department Supervisor.
Leading day-to-day production, implementation and problem-solving to achieve department goals minimizing loss and maximizing efficiency and communication throughout the department.
Expected to conduct themselves just as the Supervisor would.
Daily Job Responsibilities/Functions to Include, But Not Limited To: Maintaining all normal department duties typical before acquiring this position Oversee all day-to-day operations Provide technical training and coaching related to processes and safety Analyze problems as they arise, reporting concerns to management, in a timely fashion Need to know how to operate and troubleshoot: CNC Plasma, CNC Brake Press and Semi-automatic band saw Desired Characteristics MUST satisfactorily pass a drug and alcohol test Leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carryout detailed written and/or oral instructions Understands the manufacturing of product in their own department Excellent attendance and punctuality history Must have a strong sense of urgency, be time-sensitive and highly motivated Requires minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule Interacts with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner Willing and able to work flexible hours Good communication skills Able to learn to use E2 and other systems used by the department supervisor Acknowledgment This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employee assigned to this position.
