The Packaging Electrician is responsible for installing electrical components interior/exterior of enclosures and in generator equipment.
Daily Job Responsibilities/Functions to Include, But Not Limited To
Preparing fuel tanks and enclosures for generator assembly
Operating forklifts of various sizes
Measuring and bending various sized conduit
Pulling wire and terminating GFCI receptacles and 3-way light switches
Performs other duties as assigned by management
Desired Characteristics
MUST be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
One to Two years related experience and/or training in commercial electrical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Able to bend and install EMT conduit
Attention to detail
Able to make decisions based on experience and available data
Require minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule
Interacts with organizational team members and supervisors from all departments in a professional manner
Work to continuously improve the operations of the department through lean activities and improvement suggestions
Willing and able to work flexible hours, overtime.
Skills and Abilities
Detail oriented with exceptional eye/hand coordination skills
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to solve basic mathematical equations
Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
Knowledge of various conduit installations, EMT, rigid, flex, etc.
Know correct code requirements for wire sizing
Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
Good understanding of set up techniques
Familiar with black iron and exhaust tubing
Knowledge of basic hand tools, wrenches, ratchets, screw drivers, etc.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time; walk on non-forgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood, and metal (to include metal or fiberglass ramps placed on 30 degree angles); climb stairs, balance, climb, stoop, crouch, and crawl; walk on hilly and uneven ground; use hands to handle and feel; reach with hands; lift push, pull, and/or move more than 75 lbs.

Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy.
Occasionally lifts more than 50 lbs.
