) CNC machinists to join our team.
The ideal candidates should be familiar with G-Code, be able to write code at the machine, and know proper speeds and feeds.
MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
1.
Sets up and operates various CNC machines and manual equipment.
Also, operates more complex CNC machines where setup is assisted or competed by another.
2.
Sets up and operates CNC and/or manual machines where set-up is well defined with limited supervision.
3.
Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
4.
Read blueprints, drawings, CNC programs and engineering instructions to ensure conformance to specifications of precision parts.
5.
Inspects precision parts given a defined inspections process.
Calculates dimensions, tolerances and machine offset adjustments using knowledge of mathematics and precision inspection instruments.
Performs in-process inspection.
6.
Meets basic metrology requirements, inspects precision parts given a defined inspection process.
7.
Maintains close tolerance dimensions while producing parts at the rates established for a particular operation.
8.
Completes all training requirements and follows established procedures within highly regulated industries not limited to (FDA cGMP, ISO, AS9100, OSHA, etc.
)
9.
Maintains 5S standards and supports continuous improvement activities.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1.
Minimum of two years experience in operating CNC production equipment.
2.
Given routine set-ups and adjustments using simple offsets with only limited supervision, qualified candidates must have demonstrated competency in the set-up and operation of 2 or more of the following machine categories: 3-axis CNC mills, 2-axis CNC lathes, manual lathe/mill.
3.
Adjust tool wear offsets, adjust work (fixture) offsets and safely perform mid-program starts.
4.
Possess a basic understanding of the mechanical steps required to install and align the designated tools and hardware for metal cutting/fabricating operations.
5.
Possess the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, read and interpret blueprints, apply shop math and basic metrology tools, and have the ability to learn the more advanced metrology skills.
6.
Must demonstrate the ability to operate CNC equipment and identify machine and part issues without causing injury to oneself, damage to equipment, or to product.
7.
Must be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a team environment.
8.
Must be able to work all scheduled overtime.
