*Description* The Axle Robot Welding Operator will be responsible for operating robotic welding machines to weld axle components with precision and efficiency.
This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in robotic welding technology, and adherence to safety protocols.
The Axle Robot Welding Operator will contribute to the production of high-quality axle assemblies used in automotive and industrial applications.
*Responsibilities* * Operate robotic welding machines to weld axle components according to specifications and production schedules.
* Set up robotic welding equipment, including loading programs, adjusting parameters, and ensuring proper alignment.
* Monitor welding processes to maintain quality standards and make adjustments as necessary.
* Inspect welds visually and using measurement tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments to maximize uptime.
* Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
* Maintain records of production output, including completed work orders, inspection reports, and equipment maintenance logs.
* Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of robotic welding technology and techniques.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
* Understand Safety Guidelines to be a Welder * Comply with Safety Devices and all required PPE * Inspect structures or materials for correctness before placing in stock * Operate air tools to tighten hardware to specification or to prepare parts * Inspect surfaces and structure to discover flaws * Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety skills * Follow production specifications * Works in conjunction with other crews and lead persons * Ability to handle physical workload * Any additional duties or responsibilities assigned by management *Qualifications* *Education/Certification: * * High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
*Experience: * * 1-2 year of Machine operating experience *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* *Experience: * * 2-4 years of Machine operating experience preferred * 2-4 years of welding experience preferred *Skills/Abilities: * * Able to learn in a fast-paced environment * Experience in using pneumatic or manual tools (air ratchet, air impact, tape measure, etc.
) * Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.
