MATERIAL EXPEDITOR Summary The material expeditor follows the raw material from purchasing all the way to production.
They communicate with vendors, suppliers, purchasing, scheduling, shipping, and the production manager insuring that the raw materials are available when the production is ready to start and finding out where the product is if we haven't received it in time.
The perfect person for this job is someone with a calm demeanor, very organized, and persistent in their follow thru.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Contact vendors and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers and Production Manager of potential delays.
Maintain production schedules for ongoing projects and prevent delays that can affect delivery.
Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations.
Collaborate with Project Managers for updates on delivery timelines.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma Electronics background, Contract Electronic Manufacturing, and ISO standards background a plus.
Manufacturing experience preferred but willing to train the right person.
