Located in Central Florida, LifeStream primarily serves the residents of Lake, Citrus and Sumter Counties, with additional programs located in Orange, Marion, Hernando and Hillsborough Counties.
NETWORK SPECIALIST I - INFORMATION SYSTEMS - 007 JOB SUMMARY: The Information System (IS) Network Specialist will perform general network maintenance on the LAN relating to users, contexts and network devices.
Monitor cables and ensure reliable connectivity to the network.
Assist Director of Management of Information Systems with network troubleshooting and maintaining data integrity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Working knowledge of computer, good communication skills, use of all office equipment Clean driving record and driver’s license per agency driving requirements Responsible for end-user application software setup/support including PC interface setup Log and track computer hardware Provide first line software support for the above listed software Research and make recommendations for future implementation of various computer and networking related components Position also shall assist in computer operations and PC installations and setup as required Follow all MIS procedures to ensure a professional and timely response to support requests Maintain and coordinate computer software and hardware update requests ensuring the proper guidelines for update are followed and documented for warranty and billing requirements Research and make recommendations of software, hardware and installation problems The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance.
The ability to work collaboratively with others and to accept constructive criticism from supervisors and managers.
KNOWLEDGE AND JOB SKILLS: Considerable knowledge of Microsoft products including MS Office 2007.
2010 and Office 365, MS Windows 7 & 10.
Ability to setup Microsoft Office and various other software in a Windows network environment.
Verbal ability to comprehend technical language of operating instructions and software manuals and to clearly explain any operating problems and difficulties in interpreting program intent.
Numerical ability to prepare operating records, time computer runs, and adhere to fixed operating schedules, and to discuss operating difficulties with the programming staff and/or Director of MIS.
Must have clerical ability to prepare records.
Verbal ability to understand and analyze oral and written problems and be able to discuss them with others.
Ability to understand software training procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
Clerical perception to refer to manuals and written instructions and to review own work.
Must have good interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented and be able to follow instructions.
The ability to work with minimum direct supervision is valuable to this position.
Must be able to consistently produce error free work.
Must be able to meet all required deadlines.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a High School Diploma with some course work in computer software, hardware, and programming.
2 (two) year experience in similar position may be substituted for up to one (1) year of education Driving Requirements: Must own a car and have a safe driving record Minimum of 5-years driving experience required Possess a Valid FL Driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if currently do not possess) Possess a continuously valid US Driver’s license for the past three years, from date of issue required TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually.
Other training and/or professional development may be assigned due to evolution of programs.
