Cumberland International Trucks is seeking an experienced commercial truck dealership Service Foreman to join our team in Ocala, FL.
This position willhelp launch performance and customer satisfaction to the next level, while motivating and managing service technicians.
Work with all makes and models, medium and heavy duty, class 7 and 8 trucks, and brands like Cummins, Eaton, International, Allison, etc.
From dealing directly with customers to assigning repair work, the Service Shop Foreman will serve as liaison between techs and customers; should have customer service and supervising experience; dealership experience desired.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, interview and hire knowledgeable technicians that can follow OEM repair guidelines.
Coach and mentor technicians to produce quality repairs in an efficient manner.
Responsible for managing the service department’s financial goals by analyzing efficiencies and gross profit margins.
Contributing factors include productive staffing, customer relations/retention, & all aspects of the service department operations.
Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, & effective service.
Assign work & supervise Diesel Technicians; serve as a liaison between technicians & customers.
Take ownership of the customer experience by carrying out additional assignments, leaving the customer with a positive dealership experience
Excellent communication skills externally & internally; build lasting relationships with customers.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years technical experience in medium/heavy duty truck industry is desired.
Technician training certification such as ASE and/or OEM is desired.
Excellent customer service skills internally and externally.
Must be familiar with warranty guidelines and processes.
Ability to manage others in a positive way, empowering independence & process adherence, while observing the company's core values.
Must possess a high degree of product and technical knowledge.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Efficient in multi-tasking with strong organizational skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft program applications currently in use at this location.
Good organizational skills
Willing to pursue self-development courses.
Working knowledge of International and supplier warranty policies.
Strive for respect and facilitate teamwork within assigned area.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stoop, bend, climb, crawl, lift, reach, and any other position necessary to work on a diesel engine and truck, including tires.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work in a hot or cold, wet or humid environment.
