Job Description Seeking a Senior UXO Supervisor to join our Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) site location in Altooona, FL team workforce to achieve Govt directed tasks and/or schedule.
The selected candidate would be responsible for the oversite of site Operations and Maintenance personnel.
Engages with site program functional representatives to coordinate and deconflict operations and systems and site maintenance.
Will assist in development of strategy and operational level site facilities planning; yearly production workload planning; yearly resource and budget planning; and other managerially requirements as required.
Manages general activities of an organization's operations in a specific area.
Develops and implements company policies and procedures as well as ensures compliance with these procedures.
Evaluates and enhances current operational systems.
Prepares reports and audits to monitor and improve operations effectiveness.
May coordinate communication between different functions.
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Reports to a senior manager or head of unit/department.
Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Extensive knowledge of department processes.
This position requires flexibility to work occasional non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities Manages site location workforce to achieve Govt directed tasks and/or schedule.
Oversees site Operations and Maintenance personnel, both company and subcontractor.
Engages with site program functional representatives to coordinate and deconflict operations and systems and site maintenance.
Includes start-up, control and shutdown of equipment for efficient, economical and environmental standards.
Oversees the maintenance, repair, construction and operation of all assigned systems and supporting infrastructure.
Includes responsibility for work control, planning, infrastructure, and facilities support and plant operations.
May manage subcontractors.
Assists the headquarters in development of strategy and operational level site facilities planning; yearly production work load planning; yearly resource and budget planning; and other managerially requirements as required.
Prepares, completes, files and maintains UXO and A&E-related administrative reports including UXO reports, range clearance reports, risk-hazard analysis, hazard control briefings, ordnance recognition/safety briefings and MPPEH tracking and certification records.
Records and documents the location of UXO and the location of areas cleared using a Global Positioning System.
Ensures range clearance records are maintained as permanent records.
Completes and maintains MPPEH chain of custody and certification records as permanent records.
Ensures personnel performing UXO and A&E related tasks are qualified and certified in accordance with the requirements outlined in DDESB TP-18, company policy and specific contract requirements.
Identifies training requirements for personnel involved in performing A&E related tasks.
Ensures necessary training is documented and UXO personnel training records are complete and maintained in accordance with the company’s training plan.
Supervise the Range Holding Area (RHA) operations, MPPEH scrap management and certification-as-safe for release from DOD custody.
Performs reconnaissance and classification of UXO, identifies and determines the condition of all types of military munitions; bombs and bomb fuses, projectiles and projectile fuses, grenades and grenade fuses, rockets and rocket fuses, and associated hazardous components, pyrotechnic items, military explosives, demolition materials, and locates subsurface UXO using a variety of magnetometers.
Plan, coordinate, supervise and conduct all A&E operations including locating and destroying UXO, range clearance operations, inspects, demilitarizes, and certification of Ammunition, Explosives, and Dangerous Articles (AEDA) and/or range scrap as ready for turn-in or disposal and safe for recycling, enforcing compliance with Federal, DOD, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, procedures and contract requirements.
Minimum Qualifications MUST HAVES: 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field OR 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
Requires 5 years supervisory experience Minimum 13 years of EOD and MEC experience Must be a graduate of a military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) School of the United States or have 13 years’ experience Must have 200 hours of training on Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) and Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH).
Trained to operate site specific heavy equipment and power tools A minimum of ten years’ of documented experience in range clearance operations involving explosive ordnance recognition, inspection, handling, retrieval, electric and non-electric demolition procedures, disposal and Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) categorization and certification.
Must obtain a 40-Hour Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and HAZWOPER Supervisor Training certificate to start.
Ability to speak, read and write English.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance within 180 days of start date.

Citizenship Must possess a valid state Driver’s License.
Must obtain/maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a Govt Common Access Card (CAC) Preferred Requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Candidates with current DoD security clearance preferred.
Physical Requirements May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment.
Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
