Manufacturing Tech- Hose
Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries.
We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician who is responsible for assembling rubber hoses.
Essential Job Functions:
Collect raw material and fittings specified in work order
Assemble rubberized fabric, rubber tubing, and gum rubber ply (layer) stocks to fabricate industrial hose
Operate and monitor machinery involved in the manufacturing process of rubber hoses
Conduct quality checks on produced products to ensure they meet specified standards
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Maintains a clean workstation and production floor
Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and resolve issues
Participates in ongoing on-the-job training to adhere to company policies
Performing assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks
Conducting quality checks on the functionality of parts and components
Adding finishing touches to the appearance of components
Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner
Keeping equipment maintenance logs, as well as maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

Requirements:
Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
Ability to work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads
Ability to work in a team setting
Ability to strictly following safety procedures and protocols
Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies
Required Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand,
Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
