Your Specific Responsibilities: The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its vision to be the healthiest state in the nation.

This position requires accounting work involving the application of professional accounting techniques to a variety of fiscal transactions.
This position is required to comply with Sections 215.

Exercises independent judgment in formulating or assisting with policies and procedures which have a significant impact on the financial administration.
Designated “Need to Know” position with access to the following confidential information (i.

), patient billings, invoices, warrants, contracts, budgets, vouchers, cash receipts, salary transaction reports, and financial reports.
Adheres to Citrus County Health Department Confidentiality and Security policies and procedures.
Attends Annual Confidentiality and Security Trainings and updates.
Responsible for the incoming and outgoing mail.
Incoming mail requires date stamping and distribution daily.
Any checks need to be recorded and processed for deposit, enter all checks on a mail log.
Outgoing mail requires postage meter and certified mail marked for post office run.
Serves as back up courier transporting medications, client records, reports, supplies, equipment.

Provides STMS training to new staff as required.
Help resolve rejected STMS reimbursement and authorization requests.
Mentors DOH-Citrus staff in correct travel reimbursement requirements.
Completes quarterly unannounced cash audits of cash drawers.
Submits documentation to Central Offices a minimum of one (1) week prior to the end of each quarter.
Completes, as a part of a team, the annual pharmacy audit.
Maintains copier & printer inventory.
Acts as liaison with copier leasing companies.
Backup for Toshiba monthly print counts.
Reports to Accounting Services Supervisor routinely on status of copier leases.
This position backs up the duties and responsibilities of overseeing building maintenance for the sites for the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (FDOH - Citrus), overseeing and providing the maintenance, repairs, and security.
Responsible for monitoring, tracking and accountability of inventory for all equipment, cars, etc.

Aware of the Internal Cherwell ticketing system for Facility requests.
Serves as backup liaison with the Citrus County facilities and vendors that provide services at both facilities.
Coordinates with County maintenance crews and contractors/vendors for all necessary installations, repairs, emergency repairs, and maintenance.
Checks and inspects work when completed.
Coordinates repairs for medical and office equipment including setting appointments and requesting estimates.
Serves as back-up property custodian for Citrus County property and as a liaison between the FDOH Citrus and Citrus County Asset Manager.
Ensures that all property is tagged, and paperwork completed as required.
Enters equipment into required databases and indicates location.
Coordinates the tagging, accountability, control, transfer and surplus of tangible county property.
Maintains a current inventory for all non-IT items on annual inventory.
Maintains current working knowledge of policy and procedures relating to management of county-owned tangible property.
Assists county staff with inventories of property when requested.
Serves as back-up FDOH - Citrus Vehicle and Key custodian/coordinator maintaining and controlling inventory of building and office keys, tracking their distribution and use, and monitoring use of vehicles to assure efficient use and adherence to maintenance schedules.
Prepares invoices for payment.
Redacts confidential information as required for HIPPA on billing documentation requiring such confidentiality.
Other duties as assigned.
