BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare production reports, analyze data, and make recommendations.
Produce a quality product and package for customers/consumers.
Provide employee training on safety and operation of equipment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare production reports, analyze data, and production systems, and make recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost control.
Produce a quality product and package for customers/consumers.
Conduct package and product testing.
Identify and correct quality problems.
Provide employee training on safety and equipment operation.
Conduct a physical inspection of equipment and process system components.
Implement new technology when appropriate.
Understand policies, procedures, technical manuals, CMMS, and other material about the operation and make decisions when appropriate.
Work on 9 hours including night shift and extended hours as required.
Perform all safety requirements identified.
Demonstrate good attendance.
The Supervisor will be responsible for leading and motivating their respective team to achieve and exceed established goals and monitor day-to-day department activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness goals are being met, safety protocol is being followed, and quality product is being produced.
Directly supervises 10-40 hourly employees.
Plans and controls production performance as measured against operating targets developed according to machine and manpower capabilities and projected business quotas.
Ensures compliance with established customer quality standards.
Actively leads and participates in plant safety, and housekeeping, preferably with experience with 5S and lean manufacturing programs including OEE to ensure that goals are met within the department.
Ensures completion of all required paperwork, CMMS’s schedules and work orders, and safety programs assist the Manager in Planning, organizing, executing, implementing, and leading the assigned area.
Accountable for planning and executing to meet required safety, quality, delivery, cost, production, and communication objectives.
Meets the established schedule within the budgeted allocation.
Ensures appropriate on-the-job training and development of crew members.
Addresses electrical including High Power Distribution, Controls (PLC), instrumentation, automation and mechanical operational systems, and technical downtime issues within the department.
Assure that electrical and mechanical installations are complying with current safety and manufactory codes.
Maintain standards and propose improvements.
Trains, motivates, and mentors employees.
Conducts training of new and existing employees.
Maintains and improves production throughput and works with department Manager to maintain direct labor cost.
Provide support and guidance for on-the-job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily] High School Diploma, GED, Vocational electrical School, or relevant college courses.
Bachelor's Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering (preferred).
TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Engineering degree (preferred) or equivalent of 5 to 7 years related electrical maintenance experience.
Supervision experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably food and beverage plant experience.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Requires mobility to all areas of multi-levels production operation, heights ranging to 50 feet for extended periods of time, (5+ hours per day.
) Requires moving equipment and material weighing up to 50 pounds, a distance of 6 - 15 feet.
Perform basic computer functions.
Know and follow all the CCJ prescribed GMP, safety, attendance and rules of conduct guidelines.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensure accuracy of all employee documentation (i.
e.
timecards, attendance, counseling, etc.
) Promote subordinate development.
Participate in the CCJ safety program.
Participate in CCJ Quality Improvement Process.
Function as an informal leader at the company sponsored events.
Function as a group leader in the areas of safety, health, quality, dependability and productivity.
EQUIPMENT Computers and associated software programs.
Hand tools, push carts/dollies, safety devices and equipment required by CCJ safety policy and OSHA (cages, belts, glasses, head protection, hearing protection, etc.
) Blueprints/technical equipment drawing.
Process flow and PI&D process diagrams.
Formulas and blending specifications.
All other safety equipment identified.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a production floor environment.
Work exposure may include but not limited to temperature extremes, moving equipment, electrical shock and Arc flash hazards, heights, high noise levels, wetness, vibrations, moving equipment, chemicals, fumes, ammonia, steam, dust, etc.
Work schedule is based on hours of operation including nights, weekends and on occasion may be asked to work on scheduled day off.
