The ideal Packaging QC Specialist will be responsible for the quality control of the packaging processes in flower and pre-roll production.
This job requires attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and excellent organizational skills.
Requirements Include: Readily identifying and reporting any issues to the Trim and Packaging Manager ahead of the packaging processes Supporting the Packaging Loading team to ensure finished product meets company standards for quality, aesthetic, and consumer expectations Partnering with Trim and Packaging Manager to determine quality, quantity, and size standards prior to packaging, and respective to the genetic batch sizes Maintain daily scale calibration, room temperature checks, and moisture logs for trimmed product pre-packaging Maintain daily operational checklists according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards Flexes between the Flower and Pre-Roll packaging departments as needed; maintains the same business acumen between processes Reports to the Trim and Packaging Manager and Head of Cultivation with a weekly recap of issues and resolutions to prevent future occurrences Supports Packaging department processes, including labeling and filling product receptacles, as business needs require Following all QC protocols set forth within the department, including cleaning, storage, and green waste standard operating procedures (SOPs) Ability to follow precise direction and timelines for all tasks, and remain flexible as business needs evolve This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Quality Control, supporting cannabis, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other regulated industry.
Exposure to and working knowledge of manual and computer-generated batch records and record keeping complying with state regulations.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.
Physical and Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, and place, and position objects, tools, or controls.
The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 35 lb.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high.
Temperatures in the work environment range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes and plant lifecycle.
The work environment requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross-contamination protocols.
The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
