*Title: NWFL Construction Manager*
*Location: Ocala, FL*
*Summary: Commence is looking for an enthusiastic professional to play a pivotal role in building quality homes in our Ocala area.
This role requires a team player with excellent communication and a focus on quality.
*
*Responsibilities:*
* Plan, schedule, and manage the oversight of quality-built homes from start through Certificate of Occupancy on a timely and economical basis
* Direct and monitor the progress of multiple homes in various stages of construction concurrently
* Schedule subcontractors and manage the quality of construction, productivity and compliance with building and safety codes
* Manage trade and vendor relationships in order to build homes on schedule
* Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sites
* Coordinate delivery and use of materials throughout the construction process
* Complete homes and all customer walk-through items prior to turnover
* Track and control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns
* Implement knowledge of construction methods, regulations, contracts and blueprint reading
*Experience:*
* Prior experience with residential home building in the Ocala market is required
* Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain Management or related degrees preferred
* Basic computer proficiency required to communicate and schedule with vendors and trades
* Knowledge of construction practices and terminology as well as the ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents are preferred
