*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* To help organize and oversee all processes in the Manufacturing Department.
Accountable for implementing ISO 9001, ISO 13485 & cGMP compliant procedures and recommending process improvements within the Production areas.
*Primary Functions* Manufacturing to ensuring that all jobs run at their prescribed cycle times.
* periodically checking production parts, including but not limited to measuring first shots to ensure they meet specifications prior to providing to QC.
* troubleshooting product related problems and adjusting equipment to maintain quality standards.
* making decisions and recommendations for the Manufacturing Department.
* ensuring that the recording of all production in the entire molding area is accurate and posted in a timely manner.
* working with Managers, Supervisors, and Technicians to ensure all equipment and tools are in safe working conditions.
* setting procedures for cleaning, wiping molds, monitoring presses, oil temperatures, etc.
o being aware of changes in processing equipment and tooling.
* maintaining and ensuring there are proper storage areas to prevent loss or damage to materials, parts, and products in molding.
Sampling o performing sampling.
* improving knowledge of the plastics process and process equipment including tooling.
* performing mold troubleshooting as required.
* recommending improvements in tooling in order to increase productivity.
* making sure tooling issues and EOR’s have been done and to make sure tooling is ready for production runs.
* overseeing Training for personnel for maximum performance for cost efficiency.
* recording all injuries and taking corrective action for any safety defects.
* Quality o maintaining all quality standards established by Quality Assurance.
* working with the Inspectors to ensure that production meets Quality Assurance standards that have been established.
* quality specification per Work Instructions and/or Product Specifications on product requiring secondary operations.
* ensuring documented process matches actual processes performed.
* setting standards to ensure proper communication between all shift personnel, on all aspects of the shift requirements and molding operations.
* compiling all pertinent information concerning Plant operations, shift activities and all other information pertaining to the departments and Company business.
o reporting any unsafe conditions.
o recommending improvements in productivity, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and organization in our operation.
*Secondary Functions* Responsible for or assisting the Manufacturing Manager.
* ensuring that all Manufacturing personnel perform their assigned duties in a safe and professional way; ensuring that shift personnel wear and use proper safety equipment/ PPE including, but not limited to: safety glasses, ear plugs (optional) and/or any other equipment as deemed necessary.
* becoming familiar with the overall ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 documentation as well as the specific requirements that are directly related to and impacted by this current position description.
* maintaining a clean and safe work environment * assisting the Manufacturing Manager on focusing on customer requirements throughout the organization; ensuring appropriate processes are implemented to enable requirements of customers and other interested parties to be fulfilled and quality objectives to be achieved.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)* *Education and/or Work Experience Requirements* * Education: Minimum High School degree, some college preferred.
* Specialized Training: Previous Supervisory Experience 7+ years required.
* Previous Experience: 10 to 15 years’ experience in injection molding required.
* Must have forklift experience or the ability to obtain certificate once hired.
* Knowledge of computers and software required.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 3:15 pm Pay: $28 - $34 hourly Job Type: Full-time Salary: $28.
