PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Maintenance/Capital Leader is responsible for overall plant reliability using TPM as the mantra for building a loss free reliability program while also managing capital for the plant.
Capital management will include leadership on capital projects from inception to completion.
The role will lead the Maintenance Team of hourly and salary employees and is responsible for building a culture with an unconditional stance on safety.
The position is accountable to deliver stable and reliable plant operations with a focus on safety, people development, quality, productivity, and cost.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, training, development, and engagement of all maintenance employees.
In addition, they must demonstrate a proven track record of leadership and sustained performance associated with capital project management, plant maintenance programs and operations.
Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, driving change and achieving results through employee engagement are required.
Reports to: Plant Leader Span of Control: The Ocala Plant has approximately 110 employees with 25 manufacturing lines.
The Maintenance & Capital Leader will lead a team of 5-8 hourly employees as well as a few salaried team members.
This plant has a high rate of growth expanding to 30 lines by over the next 8 months.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Live the Safety Stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities Ensuring a safe, clean environmentally complaint work environment and building a culture where safety is always the number 1 priority.
Lead and support safety initiatives and processes to drive to zero incidents.
Training and developing employees to safely perform their jobs.
Monitors and hold self and other accountable for safety.
Development and Execution of Plant Maintenance Strategy Determine Performance Objectives for the plant and maintenance department (Safety, OEE, Cost) Ensure maintenance strategy aligns with business strategy and operations plans.
Improvement plans to drive plant operating performance and equipment reliability.
People Strategy including talent development and training.
Maintains maintenance budget including labor, repairs, and replacements.
Partners with relevant stakeholders to identify and address process improvement opportunities to eliminate waste, enhance safety, reduce cost, increase capacity / productivity, and improve the products produced.
Development and Execution of Plant capital Strategy Working with Plant Leader and other plant Leadership determine capital needs to support growth and expansion as well as improvements to meet customer expectations.
Work closely with division capital leaders to build annual capital plans that coincide with division goals and objectives.
Partner with relevant stake holders to identify critical capital needs for the site and build a capital plan that will help plant achieve annual objectives.
Manage capital projects from inception to completion ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans to be shared with business leadership.
Directing Maintenance Operations Continuously improve safety and housekeeping Lead Ocala Maintenance Department to achieve growth expansion plan.
Control/Reduce Operating cost, identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies, streamline processes and leverage resources to achieve growth plan.
Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis on chronic maintenance issues or repairs.
Leading and Developing Talent Builds and leads effective teams who are aligned on goals, increase plant performance and work together to win.
Builds open, trusting environment that promotes listening, respect, winning and fun.
Communicates effectively throughout the plant and ensure people have the right information to win.
Partners with shift resources and other relevant stakeholders to ensure maintenance personnel are well trained and remains current on any required certifications to perform full scope of expectations.
Ensure people have the skills and capabilities to be successful.
Holds people accountable and coaches to high standards and expected performance.
Effectively staff the organization to support plant operations.
Attract, develop, and retain top talent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing/maintenance assignments and experience A minimum of 5 years leading capital projects > $500k Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Science, Operations or Business Ability to lead capital installations up to $10mm Experience implementing TPM systems to drive equipment / process reliability PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Mechanical and Electrical background Experience, knowledge or trained in Six Sigma, TPM, CMMS Experience with extrusion or pultrusion processes and equipment Ability to create and drive change Leading change management efforts Demonstrated success coaching and leading teams in an inclusive environment Managing and delivering results through projects and initiatives Multilinguals English-Spanish speaking candidate are a plus KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to prioritize and adapt to a rapid changing environment while balancing multiple responsibilities Ability to build strong team alignment and communication Ability to coach and guide for results Leads through safety and corporate vision Possesses strong change management skills Strong organizational skills Able to anticipate risks and propose practical plans to mitigate them Data driven decisions Strong business acumen Intelligent, creative, analytical Highly motived and results driven with a high energy level – has a bias for proactive action Forward thinking leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate, lead by example, encourage teamwork and effective communication Join an organization that believes that every employee owns a piece of our bold growth goals and ultimate success.
