EVG Cell Tech - 2nd Shift
POSITION SUMMARY
Operate, setup, maintain, troubleshoot EVG shelf fabrication system from wire handling to finished shelf transport including directing setup crewmembers.
Additional training required: specific operational training in the EVG shelf fabrication equipment is mandatory: Demonstrated skills after training at the lead operator level (minimum) to properly setup, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the shelf fabrication system.
Extensive industrial setup knowledge (preferably involving wire welding) with applicable course work is necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain production rates and improve practices and procedures to limit downtime and increase product output.
Must exhibit positive leadership qualities and have the ability to direct their co-workers to ensure the production of a high-quality product, safely.
Must also have the ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Must be flexible enough to work overtime and/or varying shifts as business needs dictate while maintaining regular attendance.
Must be able to setup, operate, maintain and troubleshoot EVG cell equipment and support systems.
Be able to judge when equipment is malfunctioning and take appropriate action to prevent damage.
Be able to ensure that the product they produce meets specified quality standards.
Perform running adjustments and repairs to mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, computer and electronic areas to the shelf fabrication system and assist in more involved repairs.
Use common hand tools as well as precision measuring equipment to control operation, as well as provide hand tools not supplied by the department.
Inspect and measure mechanical components and welding heads to detect wear or misalignment.
Interact with necessary computer related equipment to monitor process.
Maintain appropriate control of tooling, parts, shop supplies, check gauges, etc.
used in the shelf fabrication cell.
Perform needed PM's and repairs as requested by management as well as remove or replace defective parts.
Assist in training other employees in the operation and functions related to their existing skills and knowledge.
May occasionally be required to travel.
Some international travel with a passport may be required.
Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Certified as an "authorized" logout/tagout associate (internal).
Forklift Certification (internal).
EVG Cell Technician Certification (internal, time limited).
Minimum 2 years of experience in Machine or Maintenance Technician role.
Strong attention to detail, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively in a changing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
Ability to adapt standards to a variety of product lines and formats.
