Lightspeed Construction Group is a premier telecommunications contractor for Charter Communications (Spectrum), Comcast (Xfinity).
We are looking for drop bury crews with the required machinery and crews in the
***SUMTER COUNTY, FL AREA (THE VILLAGES, BUSHNELL, WILDWOOD, SUMTER)***
***MUST HAVE OWN EQUIMEN, VEHICLES, AND INSURANCES***
Must have machines that can be upfit to bury drop conduit.
Capabilty and equipment for fiber and coax cut overs
Drops (FTTH & HFC)
Driveway & Road bores
Road bores will require pedestal or vault to locate conduit.
All drop crews are responsible to put connectors on all active drops to include FTTH.
Requirements for Employment as a Drop Bury Installer Technician:
Pass a background check and drug test.
Have a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
Availability on weekends (6 day work week)
Trenching or Vibratory Plow Machinery with bore attachments
Able to take on driveway bores
Samsung S20FE, S10E, S9 or S8 phone (for Tech Mobile)
Insurances (Commercial Auto, General Liability and Worker’s compensation)
Signal Meter VEex CX310 or similar must be TDR capable and ability to upload to a server.
Required/Preferred:
Experience performing drop buries and specifically road bores
Ability to perform concrete and asphalt cut and patch jobs (requires special saw blade)
Directional Bore capability
Locator
Tasks Required of a Drop Bury Installer Technician:
Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.
Clean or prepare work sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
Read instructions or specifications to determine work activities.
Load, unload, or identify materials, machinery, or tools, while utilizing them for the appropriate tasks.
Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using shovels.
Knowledge Required of a Drop Bury Installer Technician:
Building and Construction?— Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
Mechanical?— Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Public Safety and Security?— Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
