Responsibilities:
Performs installation, configuration and maintenance including upgrades of enterprise application environments as needed.
Performs day-to-day maintenance and support of; active directory, group policy management, on/offboarding of users, 365 Environments, including, One Drive/SharePoint, Teams, Email, MFA, File share permissions and mapping drives via DFS paths.
Monitors and remediates events that may affect performance or availability of applications to ensure SLAs are met.
Troubleshoots issues and performance tune applications as needed.
Creates and maintains documentation for application administration procedures.
Ensures application security meets compliance requirements.
Designs, documents and tests backup strategies and processes to protect user data with full systems recovery including documentation of processes.
Maintains patch levels and leads migration to new platform releases.
Creates reports on application performance, utilization, issues, and various other metrics.
Requires use of our current ticketing system to keep track of work items, SLA, priorities, documentation of work performed and follow-up to our customers.
Monitors proactively for predictive failures and trends that will aid in capacity planning and enhanced resource availability.
Participates in change management procedures.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
All communication must be in a warm positive, friendly, professional manner while representing TSG; both on and off property.
Advises Director of Server Operations of any issues that affect our delivery of services to our customers promptly.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Server Operations
Education & Experience Requirements:
Associate degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent; and/or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Microsoft Certifications: MCTS, MTA, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, A+, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and 365 Certifications a plus.
SQL Server Administration including database backups, restores, and recovery models, installation, and configuration of SQL Server, and performing upgrades and applying patches.
Experience in performance tuning and monitoring using various troubleshooting tools.
Content Management and/or Document Management Systems general concepts.
Extensive use and proficiency of Windows PowerShell scripting.
Virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV a plus).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to analyze data using formulas, filtering, Subtotals, and various methods of data comparison.
