JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for the daily operations of the golf shop, which includes checking in and assisting guests, providing information to guests, displaying merchandise for sale and completing daily financial reports.
Provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which will encourage residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but not limited to) Open and close golf shop.
Complete daily operation of golf shop.
Maintain inventory displays.
Collect fees and provide information to guests.
Operate POS System.
Complete daily report and deposit.
Communicate daily with Ambassadors, Starters, Golf Course Maintenance, and other employees.
Exhibit knowledge of Tee Time System, Handicap System & Tournament Operations.
May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio specific training to co-workers.
Additional Performs other duties as assigned.
May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency.
ESSENTIAL EXPECTATIONS OF PERFORMANCE AND BEHAVIOR (Includes, but not limited to) Cultivates and maintains effective working relations within the department, the District, as well as outside of the organization.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma and five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Includes, but not limited to) Knowledge Must have working knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, management practices and office procedures.
Skills Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
Applicant must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Abilities Ability to read/write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
EQUIPMENT (Includes, but not limited to) Position regularly requires the use of office equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers and productivity software.
